Wow - long lead times, only a good thing though really.
I'd be interested to see the Vanish Tub breather system
On the subject of intakes, Dave, I'm currently running the airbox you supply & fit and the car has been mapped at Emerald with this setup, but in the hunt for more induction noise (superficial I know!!), would there be any implications of moving to an open air filter such as below?
http://product-images.qedmotorsport.co.uk/resized/vauxhall/c20xe/air-filters/air-filter-sausage.jpg
I assume the fuel rail prevents the use of an off-the-shelf backplate, but other than mounting issues, would I need to worry about more serious things like AFR / a remap?
In an ideal world, I'd like to have the option where I can have all the glorious noise on the road, but, if on a track day the intake noise is breaching noise limits I could have the option of a painless change over back to the airbox.

Excellent - thanks Paul.
Great value at £115 a pair, what a result, they're on my Christmas list.
Yes I'll be at LADS on Wednesday, hopefully not later than 8:30, see you there!
-
Great - looking forward to booking a few of those.

Anyone able to provide a link for the SVC 5.75" lights?
Are they an easy / plug and play swap for the Caterham 7" lights?
-
How long?
DVA has a 9 month waiting list?!
-
Ah possibly? They hadn't been coming up in my searches. Even tried looking for 185/70/13 but no joy? I'd need sizes good for 6" front and 8" rear if sticking with 13".
Where have you found them?
4000 miles wouldn't really cut it for me unless they were much cheaper than the R888Rs which by accounts of the previous owner were also good for about 4000 miles.

A few of the S2000 lads use R1Rs and seem a great tyre.
15" would give me a lot more options that's for sure.
I just love the look for 13" wheels on the 7!
-
Yeah, I'm finding the same issue - there really isn't much suitable choice with our wheel sizes.
I feel slight dubious about UniRoyals as I know one of the S2000 lads runs these during the winter and reports that they feel like 'jelly molds' with their soft side walls!
Appreciate the S2000 is more than twice the weight and the size & profile of the tyre is very different, but with the 7 needing even bigger side walls I can't see it being better...

Interesting shout - what's the treadwear index of the V70A hard compound?
The R888Rs I have at the moment have a treadwear index of 100!
-
Not a bad shout, would probably look better than 15".
What 14" styles are available, though? I know there are mini-lites, but not sure they would suit my 7 (I know it's subjective).

Hey folks,
Just looking at my tyre options for touring, my Compomotives are 13x6 front and 13x7 rear.
Wanting to avoid semi-slicks (R888R, ZZS, ZZR) as munching through that expensive rubber on the motorway just doesn't seem sensible!
What do others on 13"s use if wanting to avoid semi-slicks? Doesn't seem to be a lot out there when looking at various sizes?
185/60/13
185/55/13
205/60/13
215/55/13Maybe I should consider getting some other wheels for touring?

I'm new to the club having only bought my first Caterham this month.
Very interested in club run days, so I'll be very much signing up as and when these are made available.
Looking forward to a good year of it!
-
I'd love a set of these - would you send me the necessary details?
Any one with any pics of them fitted with 7" headlights out of interest?
-
Another good shout Dave.
I'll have a thorough look at it over the weekend - fingers crossed I find something.
Thanks Jonathan - Looks reasonably priced also.
-
Cool - thanks Dave, that makes sense.
I don't have a multi meter, but I think I should invest in one.
I belive the switch has already been replaced as it looks brand new compared to the rest of the switches (sun faded), but still worth changing it out.
I have an inkling that it could be the intermittent wipe "black box", if I have one, so will be looking at that too.
For future reference though, where is the park motor switch and what does it look like?
Thanks again!
-
You say you ruined your wiper motor park switch, what was the symptom of this?
Anything like the below at all?
- Wiper switch set to off
- Switch the car on
- No wiper activity
- Switch wipers on
- Wipers start
- Switch wipers off
- Wipers continue (and do not stop)
- Wipers only stop when the car is switched off completely and restarted
Clutch Release Bearing

My CRB has packed in.
Is this the correct CRB for my 2003 Rover K 1800 & Caterham 6 Speed box?
https://caterhamparts.co.uk/clutch-parts/89-clutch-release-bearing.html
Going to have a go at doing it without taking the engine out.
Thanks in advance!
