  1. The white cuboid is a resistor and the end not connected to the master switch should be connected to an earth on the vehicle body which would also be suitable for your earth for the 12v socket.

Wiring diagram for the master switch here if that helps. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=battery+master+switch+wiring+diagram&client=safari&hl=en-gb&prmd=isvn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjuhaaZvtfOAhVCFMAKHfVFBsUQ_AUIBygB&biw=1024&bih=672#imgdii=O94jsdY7Hp_RyM%3A%3Bef-U4HPQXR_C0M%3A%3Bef-U4HPQXR_C0M%3A&imgrc=ef-U4HPQXR_C0M%3A

  2. Mine was originally a 1.4, the previous owner had Dave fit 1.6 sleeves, pistons and rods to the original block when he had the 13a conversion done.

  3. You should be able to thread some cables up through the grommet in front of the gear lever without removing anything. I currently have both cables connected directly to the battery but the socket I have has an led when powered up so I have to remove the fuse to avoid it draining the battery! I'll rewire via the cut off switch at some point!

  4. 7" Chrome headlights, a small amount of light corrosion near the base but lenses good. £30 + post or I'm happy with collection.

Motolita (290mm) steering wheel & boss with horn push and slip ring. £40 + post

Standard headlight brackets £10 + post

  5. Not me Duncan, I haven't used it since Wednesday!! Suffering withdrawal symptoms!! Delivered the Mini I sold today to Cambridge, out and about tomorrow, meeting up with some non 7 petrolhead mates on Sunday, might try and hook up with Julian en route.
