Hi Andrew,
Keep up the good work, you are starting from a well maintained car, judging by the pictures. I did a last test day on the track with "Blue Lena" last Saturday afternoon, very cold but dry.
The Belgian beer will be cold with these temperatures when I get to Birmingham tomorrow evening. See you Tuesday evening.

After selling my beloved 1979 LHD Super Seven Twin Cam to the next keeper in the US, I have been very happy with my LHD 1999 Lotus Elise 111S S1, but something was missing ...
So after a lot of looking around, searching and experimenting with the rebuild of a crashed Seven, I ended up with this ex-Academy / Super Graduate car. For those who know the car, it belonged to the late Martin Kay.
This Seven will be a perfect addition to the Elise. The Lotus will stay in road spec and will be used for longer trips, while the Caterham will be the perfect toy to use in spring and summer for short blats or for a couple of track days. Not to forget, they both have a K Series engine, so being of the same family, they will get along together.
The contract has been drawn up and the Seven will be collected in April.

Hi Charles & Andrew,
I am still searching for the complete history. I have had contact with Tony Jaffe, who raced with my car for several years. He told me that he co-owned a number of race cars with a friend. The reason for selling the K Series was the replacement with a Sigma.
BTW, the chassis and engine are still matching numbers, with the MSA seals still on the engine.
On the internet are a couple of pictures of my car being used by Tony Jaffe. Some with headlights and windscreen, others without. As far as I know, in the beginning of the Graduates, windscreen, lights, ... were obligatory. Later on that changed.
Cheers
