  1. Can anyone recommend somewhere to get my tracking/camber checked in the Coventry/North Warwickshire area? thanks.
  2. Hi Seveners ! My pride and joy was swiped by a 2 ton 4WD in the car park, the steering's now off centre, although it's driveable. I'm hoping that it's just the alignment that's out....should I be checking anything else, and I'm a bit loathe taking it to the regualar tyre places....any recommendations in the Coventry/ North Warwickshire area? Ben

    160 Wheels

Caterham offered an alloy wheel for the Suzuki/160, they were on sale on the factory site recently...don't know if they've sold them all.
  4. Bingo! thanks Simon you're right, Thanks for your help.
  5. Simon thanks for the reply, did you have the LEDs flashing very weakly, or did they pack up completely? Ben
  6. has anyone experienced or can help explain why both my cycle wing repeaters/indicators have failed at the same time? I'm getting 12v and there's a circuit there but both sides are now , when switched on just emitting the smallest pin-pricks of light. if only one had failed then I could understand....
  7. Reg Crowe's number is 024 7645 9023, was recommended by several people as an excellent auto-electrician.
  8. You've got a point there, and there are times when you need the ignition on without the engine running....might watch the programme again...maybe I dreamt it all (I did eat alot of cheese that evening!!) Any news about your car Hampster??
  9. talking of ignition barrels, watched Wheeler Dealers last night on you tube, they were modifying a sigma-engined sv and dispensed with the key/barrel entirely so you just start the car with the transponder and a starter switch.
  10. There's a good auto electrician in Coventry (Reg Crowe). I can did out his number...
  11. clearly I'm no expert but Caterham need to replace the whole ignition system & sensors, you can't have any doubt that it won't cut out on you again..how long did they have the car, and ask them exactly what they have done to it. They can't have diagnosed it or it isn't diagnoseable (?). My limited experience of such things is that without a clear indication of which component is at fault I would go through the system changing each component in turn until the fault was remedied. Starting with the cheapest item first. Long winded and expensive but thorough...I would have expected Caterham to have done this....frustrating for you but keep the faith...it'll be worth it!
  12. yippeee!! Great news!! so did they discover what the problem was?? Ben
  13. Hampster Looks like you've got a nice place there next to the canal, when you reopen in March think I might run on over and order me one of your english breakfasts!! Ben
  14. must be very frustrating for you hampster....(Due to a couple of errors (not mine) I had to wait an extra 2 months for my car)....but it'll be worth the wait.. I'm sticking below 4000 rpm for the first 500 miles 'cause the handbook tells me to...am I being over cautious??? With three 160s around Warwickshire we could start a local chapter!! Ben
