  1. Now Sold - Eccles brackets and fixings purchased from Jason of the Caterham club plus Caterham SPA convex mirrors purchased from Merlin Motorsport. All in excellent condition. Purchased last year and were on my car for about 2-3 months. £150 inc postage in UK.
  2. Now SOLD _ Soft Bits E bag for SV. £100 plus postage or pick up from Milton Keynes.
  3. Just removed from my 2003 1.8K series SV. Exhaust, Manifold and Lambda sensor. In good condition. Thinking of £150 but let me know if interested. Will need to be picked up from Milton Keynes or arranged pick up nearby.
  4. Thought about doing a U turn and following.
  5. My car runs on 14 inch wheels and like you say there is very limited choice for tyres. When I bought my car it had ZV3's fitted and they never seemed to wear out. They never gave me any confidence especially in the wet and after investigating what was available I changed to Nankang ns2r. I thought these would be good for me as I use the car on the road and do some track days. The difference in level of grip in both the wet and the dry is amazing. The Nankangs are so much better. The only downside I've found is that probably due to the harder walls of the tyre they're not so good on uneven B roads. When pressing on the car gets thrown around much more and you have to hang on. But that's easily solved as I just stick to bigger and smoother roads. Perhaps if you only use the car on the road then from other members comments the Uniroyals might be your best option but the Nankangs work well for me.
  6. T135 camshafts just removed from my 1.8 k series engine. Good condition. Engine done 32k miles. £100. Collect from Milton Keynes or can arrange carriage.
  7. Hi Mark. I live in Tattenhoe so not very far from you. I drove past the Super Sausage today and noticed it's open and bikers still meeting there. My car's ready to go all year round so if it's nice weather one day and you fancied it we could always meet up for a coffee there. Cheers Ian.
  8. Hi Mark, Great to see you to. Had a great blat. Just finished cleaning the car up with a big smile. I live about a mile from you. Would be great to meet up when we can. I'll drop you a message so you have my email address. Cheers Ian.
  9. Hi John, Sorry I didn't read your article last night but have read it just now. Really wish I had put a call out before I started the installation. You've gone through almost exactly the same process as me including thinking I had cross threaded the temp sender. Having put it in three turns I thought the thread was wrong and the part must have changed over time. I actually removed it, tapped the hole and put a bolt in it thinking that I just won't have the temp reading. I would also have seen how the piece of foam fits in. Like you I was pleased with the way I worked through the install and hopefully if I go for a test drive today I won't see any leaks. I've printed it off and will put it in my folder. Thanks for taking the time to send it and to everybody else for their tips and offers of assistance.
  10. Thanks for all the replies. Really good to know the foam probably doesn't do too much. I've been looking at it again today and run the car for a while and seen no more leaks. I'll take it for a drive tomorrow and check it then. Keeping my fingers crossed that it'll be okay. Great to get two replies from Milton Keynes with offers of help. What a great club.
  11. I've just finished installing an Apollo tank and having started the engine all seemed well and I was quite pleased until I saw a couple of drips of oil on the floor. Taking a look it doesn't appear to be coming from any of the new connections I've made during the install and from what I can see looks like it's come from behind the around the cam belt cover just above the alternator belt (can't trace the source exactly). The only thing I haven't installed is the piece of foam inside the cam cover as I couldn't quite understand how this fitted having purchased the pieces of the kit separately and not having the photo's with the instructions. Could not having that piece of foam be causing me a problem or perhaps I've overfilled the car with oil? I've put about 7 Litres in it and from what I can see the level appears to be about right. Appreciate any thoughts.
  12. Does anyone happen to have a sierra diff plug please. Apparently I need one for the Apollo tank I've just bought and Caterham no longer sell the part. I can get it from bearing kits on line but they're £21 each. Happy to pay if someone has one spare or knows where I can get one.
  13. That's my blue 7 SV and Steve from Oxford S3. There was actually three of us Caterham owners. Met at the Super Sausage nr Towcester and enjoyed a fantastic days racing at the HSCC meeting Silverstone. Had a great drive back to MK hood off in the dark with heater on. Warm as toast and I'm still smiling.
  14. Hi James. Not sure if you know but I just checked on twitter and the Opentrack trackday at Silverstone today has been cancelled.
  15. Totally agree. The whole day was great and the instruction really helped. If it hadn't been for Merrick's great instruction I would have probably ended up in a field. I now have so much more confidence in how my car handles. Also met some great people and enjoyed the social evening as well. I'll definitely be going again.
