  1. I want to buy a flared nut spanner to enable me to adjust the headlight position, is the nut 21mm or 22mm?
  2. Well I'm just under 6', but only have 29 inch inside leg, my wife tells me I am 'all back'! I have an SV and I just click the seat three notches forward (and there is still more adjustment available if needed).....BTW, I don't have a lowered floorpan. cheers Keith
  3. Agreed, I don't understand that at all....surely with wires that thin they would be acting like a a fuse !!!! Maybe something to do with being connected across the battery?
  4. Halfords 501 filament leds, great upgrade, bright n white, but not enough to to dazzle......
  5. I had an email from CC saying that they do not publish their data on this engine.
  6. Where can I get hold of a graph showing typical performance for the 135bhp Sigma engine as used in the 270S. Presumably the original engine is modded by CC techs, have they published any data?
  7. Just measured my mate's Roadsport 150 and it was 4180 ohms. cheers Keith
  8. My Caterham half hood is vinyl and matches the car, very substantial BUT it doesn't easily fold into the 'boot' like the mohair ones. Very easy to keep clean with Auto glym vinyl & rubber care.
  9. Yes, I used ACF50 on all exposed alu and plated nots/bolts etc. Also in the engine bay. I used Dynax S50 for all the 'grot traps' and where the alu meets with the chassis. The Dynax comes with a long spray applicator, which enables you to reach all the awkward traps. Too early to say how good it will be, but I'm confident it will be reasonable protection. cheers Keith
  10. I must say, this has been a very gratifying post! Thanks again.
  11. Thanks Neil, that's very encouraging. I'm having the car delivered to my door (hopefully December) , so applying ACF50 will be one of the first jobs!
  12. Thanks Martyn, that sounds exactly how I would like to use it. I had heard that the Dinitrol was more messy so probably will stick with the ACF and use it say twice per year.
  13. Engine bay, exposed struts/exposed aluminium. Will have a better idea when I get the car (December). Just that one of my biker neighbours has a Harley and he was raving about it. I know many Caterham owners garage the car for the winter and I was thinking of a way to keep the salt corrosion at bay. cheers Keith
  14. Anyone had experience using ACF50 corrosion protection spray for aluminium? Would they recommend for a Seven?
  15. I found this old youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JY_Rd6xur_I
  16. Thanks JV, Yes, I would tend to agree with that. Every owner I've met thus far, has been keen to have the stuff on the car and for the most part has done the same thing. I will apply it myself to the rear arches and to the front of the cycle wings and see how I get on. I would like to watch an expert apply the film on a nosecone! Cheers Keith
  17. Has anyone produced a video on how to apply this protection film, it would be really useful. My 7 arrives in December and that is one of the first jobs I need to do,
  18. RedCat7 - That would be great! I've sent you a PM with my mob. number. cheers Keith
  19. Thanks for that, there is a meet at Rhos on Sea next week, I'll see if anyone has the SV with the lowered floor,..... squeeze myself in! cheers Keith
  20. I have a 270S (SV) on order and have a query on the floorpan, I'm just under 6' tall (but only 29" leg!). Will I be ok with the normal floorpan?
