  1. I was in a similar situation north of Kincardine last year luckily a kind driver spotted me and parked his low loader behind me until help arrived. However I was over the barrier pronto any car is replaceable!

  2. Do any members know a source or register of qualified damage assessors. A garage local to me has crashed my 7 and I need it professionally assessed for repair as I'm worried there might be frame damage. Thought of ringing Oakmere as well as the IAEA but perhaps an enquiry on here might produce some other pointers. I'm in Cumbria.

    thanks

  3. I had a .17 Anschutz for a while but it had feed problems which were never resolved so it went back and now have a Browning T Bolt. In Cumbria getting a variation on the licence is now I believe 16 weeks my 'mole' in the licencing department says the place is in disarray. Do you have similar delays in the south?

  4. I recently bought a job lot of bits from an ex 7 owner. New wife has demanded more sensible vehicle!

Amongst the bits are  brand new SPA speedo and tacho gauges for some future upgrade. I've examined the bumph with them and my eyes crossed whilst attempting to understand the wiring requirements. Just wondering if anybody has had these type of instruments fitted to their 7's to replace originals.

    Thanks

  5. John he left the slave cylinder end of the original hose in situ and joined that to the new hose minus one end. When asked about removal at the slave end he descended into broad Cumbrian which alas I cannot repeat here. He enjoyed the drive up Hartside!

The failure in the hose was exactly at the metal edge to the right of your sticky pad tie.

    cheers

    Chris

  6. Cut off hose at leak and ditto end of new hose and joined both together with a union. The leak occurred exactly where the hose rests on the metal edge of the pedal box although no abrasion visible on the metal sheath. Tractor man says vibration over a period of time can cause point failure in hoses. Hope this helps.

  7. Thanks DJ but its different on the Duratec. The hose disappears into the bell housing via removable plate. Not delved further but appears to need the skills of a gynecologist to detach the leaking hose. Gearbox removal was suggested but surely its more straightforward than that. First time I've seen a braided hose fail.
