  1. Hi it's the upper setting you want as per build manual - we run our super sport r on track a lot and the softer setting covers off both - believe it or not the manual is right - they've been doing them for a while - if you don't like it change it laterr

  2. Hmm trying to contact them to cure a faulty order from last week

rang all day yesterday and today with no luck and emailed as well with no response

guessing maybe on holiday but maybe someone can let them know it's not easy at the moment to get hold of them

  3. On the a frame believe it or not it is handed - it is not an IVA failure but make sure it is not upside down - like it was when I fitted it! A careful review of the  manual photograph is needed.

On the nut access - I used a suitably strong large flat bladed screw driver which fitted against the flat of the nut and trapped itself against the inner wall of the housing.

That stopped the nut turning as I torqued it. It sounds horrendous but ask any 'field' engineer fixing stuff in the wild and its an acceptable way of stopping the nut moving.

It doesn't scratch anything  and allows you to tighten things nicely.

  5. The master cylinder angle has to be altered - they produce a chamfered collar fit insert between cylinder and pedal box which alters  the cylinder angle and the rod then slides neatly in line with the cylinder  - the trick in fitting the collar is to put a slit in it to allow fitting without cylinder removal by sliding over the arm when the cylinder is loosened

  6. I woul,d ask CC

They will tell yiu and also ask them if the high effort pedal is fitted

    my experience  with a super sports r D 2015

terrible soft pedal - when it went into book a track then advised getting the high effort brake pedal which they supplied and transformed the pedal feel instantly

very solid pedal made even better with Mintex pads

     - make sure you get the associated brake cylinder spacer which alters the angle of the cylinder and  lets the piston arm attach to the pedal so when it pushes it it still parallel to the cylinder

for the ultimate pedal the next stage is the AP updated cylinder which are stored next to hens teeth and rocking horse poo as they cannot be found in stock anywhere at the moment

ps if doing this tip for fitting the new spacer is to cut it to allow it to slip past the actuating arm on the piston so the cylinder only needs loosening and not removing to fit it

    Hope that helps

  7. David it is al guesswork but you can cut things down by specifying exactly what CC did on a both times it was with them - all answers you have been given are possible but you need to help focus the answers by setting out what the changes were when the car was with CC - you'll get a more focus response then

  8. I can only tell you that my similar car with a decatted collector reads between 93 and 94db at Cadwell when tested statically at Cadwell twice last month (at3/4 revs)  and at Blyton  at full revs I can spike at about 104 Db if I try hard enough. - hope that gives a rough guide

  9. I just moved both sides to the rearmost fitting on s3

tillet seats - easy on the passenger side and harder on the drivers side as the buckle sticks out and stops the seat moving completely but got round that by reducing spacer

lit reduces lap belt by enough for us but be aware that i you cannot move tilletts to far forward as the adjuster buckle  gets trapped in the seat aperture

  10. It's perfectly possible to mount with the rearmost mounting point - it just means that the adjuster may foul the hole through which it passes in the seat and also the seat can foul the bolt and mounting when refitting the seat. I have done this with tilletts and it's a question of being patient and methodical - this tip came from Simon at CC Midlands

  11. Wanted a staggered  set of lightweight alloy rims 13 ins 6 and 8's condition  not too important as to carry track rubber but must be fit for purpose and need to repair for integrity - to fit S3 metric de dion chassis
