hi all i am trying to order a half hood for a series 3 imperial chassis car with a single diagonal via roll bar I have taken measurements as per softbits website and discussed it with them as my measurements don't match theirs! my measurements are a= 80cm screen to centre of roll bar b= 62 centre of roll bar to boot fixing c= 154.5 side to side measurement across the top of the bar this falls between their std bar 79cm and high bar 81 cm so they ask that I post something here to clarify!?! I not that on another post thunder sports state 80cm as the screen to roll at measure. Having supplied the measurements And knowing of their current state of flux I have to confess to losing some confidence in their ability to deliver. Anyone experience of both products softbits vs thunder sports ? thanks mark

Hi Nige Fancy meeting you here As you know I had an Ital axle car years ago and it always suffered from whine. I had managed to get hold of a brand new axle casing and diff when I built the car and it was always noisy. It did get worse after I started sprinting and hill climbing in it so I had it rebuilt as a precaution, but they found nothing wrong and it didnt fail in about 6 years of hard use. My cross flow didnt push out the power your zetec does but it did have to deal with a lot of tracktime and full bore starts. I think you will be fine See you friday M

R400 KST - thats me ! Yep just stopped at the Greenhouse for a brunch, highly recommended, lovely food and people and much better value than Goodwood. We often stop here after a breakfast club meet. As colin says nice walk either to or from Langstone following the shoreline as well. Shame we missed you

From memory just over 2 packs, I forget how much is in a pack, making sure all the joints are sealed has made a huge difference to reducing pops and bangs on the overrun. mankee do you have any tips for packing acousta fil? Do you wrap with wire wool first?

I also have the Large 7inch silencer and airbox fitted, I have just repacked with acustafill boa but won't be able to get it measured again until I arrive at Brands...fingers crossed.

Hi I have a sister car R400 (same colour I think, Audi Kingfisher blue ?), but mine is a bit noisier. Was tested at goodwood recently at 100db @ 5400, it does pop and bang a bit with no load, but was fine on the track no issues at all with drive by noise when other cars were being pulled. I am at Brands on the evening of 28th so hoping all will be ok. What silencer do you run and what do you use to repack ? Thanks Mark
