  1. Awaiting replies from Redline and Rimmer. If it doesn't work out, a bag or another bracket are all possible solutions. Thanks for the help guys, I'll keep you posted.

  4. I'm trying to source the origins and/or partnumber of the window washer bottle on my 2001 K-series. It's not the new style as in the Caterham store. Mine fell off somewhere along the road.
  5. It's all fixed now after adding the sleeve on the spigot bearing. Thanks for the advice guys.
  6. This spigot bearing looks like it might be the problem. The bearing just fell out the crankshaft. It might have caused a vibration at high revs, making it hard to get to the next gear. Other than that there are no noticeable faults to clutch or gearbox, synchro's look fine.
  7. @ Elie: The bottle says it's Kroon 75w90 'GL4/5'. I knew it needs to be 4, and I assume it was either 4 or 5. This one appears to be both?!
  8. Good point, I don't know. It's a scrap MG engine, swapped by a mechanic that's done VVC swaps before. Apparently it fits... How can I tell the difference? Anyway, engine out next week, so I'll know more then.
  9. It's a cable clutch. Clutch feels fine when driving. Bites when it should, disengages seemingly without drag. Gear oil has been topped up with 75w90 this weekend, but we didn't manage to extract the old oil. Last drain was 4y, 15000km ago. My guess it's something with the synchro's or forks, but shouldn't that affect only some gears? Note: The engine has been swapped 2y ago and only recently got the correct ecu. (Long story) The gearbox never saw more than 140bhp at 6500rpm before this winter, now it takes 160bhp and 7200rpm. Could it be a matter of running in?
  10. My K-series 1.8VVC, 5 speed is having trouble to shift gears in the higher revs. It's a hard push and it takes a while to get in gear. No weird noises, just hard and slow. It's ok in lower revs, but it happens every time and in every gear when trying to rev it out above 6000rpm.
  11. Might be my next tyre... Anyone tried these? Pretty cheap, great looks and I've had good experiences with Nankangs NS2R on my other wheels. How would they compare with ZZS or CR500?
  12. Anybody having a descent pair of Tillets or Half doors for sale? Where else can I source new Tillets, as Caterham has been out of stock for a while?
  13. Brackets arrived fine, thank you! However I really would like to see some pictures with these already fitted, as I'm not in doubt if I'll fit them. I'm not too keen to hack a piece from my indicator pod. Cables will be left dangling, and the the headlamps will move back quite a lot, while the OEM Caterham low stays moves them forwards instead.
