  1. Does anyone have a copy of the low flying heater mod you can email me or piston here? I've just changed to silicone hoses and have he classic airlock. I've been through the archive and followed the filling tips but after my second attempt I've still got air in the block. I even pulled the thermostat housing out slightly till fluid came out then shoved it back in sharp ish. I would really love to sort this one without having to resort to my local specialist. Thanks Doug
  2. The kit includes the 5 principle pipes and I added the two heater pipes and will add a bleed valve that I've got coming from eBay too. Went for the matching orange pipes, and quite looking forward to adding them as a bit of bling too.
  3. It's definitely not coming from the heater matrix. In terms of the amount of out of round on a small pipe it's quite a bit. Anyone who has had the misfortune of doing domestic plumbing will know what a pain in the arse getting a seal on a miss formed pipe is. I've ordered a ramair silicone hose set which should arrive in a couple of weeks with their recommended pipe clips so will see how I get on with new pipes.
  4. Having recently taken ownership of my k series roadsport I was a bit perplexed as to why the heater had been bypassed. So clever arse me hooked it up on Sunday evening to take wifey for her first spin (parents were over on baby sitting duty) Pulled out of the garage and my wife informed me of the warm wet sensation on her feet. Not what you might be thinking..... But coolant running down the bulkhead. As it was getting late I put the coupler back in and off we went. She loved it btw I've since spent some time with the heater partially out and a bowl under it and found 3 out of the 4 hoses leaking round the heater bypass valve. They leak where they join the metal, and two of them I can see that a new hose will probably sort the issue. The third is a bit more interesting. On the bottom of the bypass valve the pipe that has the 90 degree formed bend is out of round by about 1mm. You can fee a high spot on two sides of this pipe, and I can imagine how I'm going to get this to seal. http://caterhamparts.co.uk/product.php?id_product=333 I'm not sure if I have a duff bypass vale and others are perfectly round, or they are all like that, and I'm into the realms of gluing rubber bits on? Any suggestions would be warmly welcomed. Thanks Doug
