Bricol Posted April 13, 2006 Share Posted April 13, 2006 Standard thermostat suitable for Rover K-series - which means I have no idea of its temp rating - Quinton Hazell - QTH115 K - equiv to MTO115. It's a replacement stat - undo the three screws holding the plastic stat housing together, pull it apart, note which way the stat fits (if I remember, the bulb goes towards the belts), remove the stat and replace with new one - and reassemble stat housing - no need to remove hoses or the stat housing from the engine - might want to drop the coolant first tho . . I chucked the new gasket ring that came with it and re-fitted the old one which seemed to be a better fit - probably due to absorbing coolant and swelling. Easy!
