Thermostat Ordering quick help needed

Need to order thermostat and housing

 

Millwood have housing but cannot get 82 thermostat and can't get housing to me before bank holiday

 

Are these standard rover parts and if so can i order from Autoparts and if so does anyone know the part numbers as they will be able to deliver tomorrow

They are standard Rover parts.

If you get a new thermostat housing, don't forget to order the o ring where the it enters the block.

Still no joy if car to be ready for weekend anybody know the part number ? Halfords f**king useless what is the point of their existence?

Standard thermostat suitable for Rover K-series - which means I have no idea of its temp rating - Quinton Hazell - QTH115 K - equiv to MTO115.

 

It's a replacement stat - undo the three screws holding the plastic stat housing together, pull it apart, note which way the stat fits (if I remember, the bulb goes towards the belts), remove the stat and replace with new one - and reassemble stat housing - no need to remove hoses or the stat housing from the engine - might want to drop the coolant first tho . .

 

I chucked the new gasket ring that came with it and re-fitted the old one which seemed to be a better fit - probably due to absorbing coolant and swelling.

 

Easy!
