Spare wheel carrier removal ideas

I know this has been done to death but two quick questions.

Where would I get something to cover the tube ends, I am leaving a stub in order to reattach at some point?

Where would I get a chrome washer & bolt to hide the hole through which the spare wheel would be mounted?

Keeping number plate and light lower rather than using the number plate to hide the hole.

Hmmm

Just tried searching this on e-bay and found lots of rectal tubes *eek*

Are you sure this is what's needed on the back of a 7?? 😬

I cut my carrier off at the weekend & used the light to hide the hole (on the advice of a fellow blatchatter) - worked a treat. Really struggled to find an end tube though, so I'm grateful for your post.

Cheers

Martin this is what i did here I made up an internal threaded bar that is screwed in from underneath with a small csk screw here herethen the number plate carrier fits over the chassis stubs and screws into the insert with a csk M8 bolt, have intended to make a longer carrier if i need to carry the wheel, or one to carry a box but havnt got around to it yet.
