Dickie Normuss
The change on my 5 spd is simply hard work even when warm so quick changes are not possible, it has to be a very solid change and nut rushed, engaging 1st on a cold morning is not easy either. The oil might well be the original stuff, '93 😳. The change on my last car (X-flow) was very sweet and smooth, will changing the oil make any difference 🤔 Seek forgiveness, not permission. stevefoster
Hmm, Could be wax instead of oil I guess. Are you sure the clutch is not dragging? Is it stiff static with the cltuch in? do you have a drain plug? If not sucking it out is not going to be easy. I am still annoyed with my Gearbox builder for forgetting to put the drain plug on that I specified Hants (north) / Berkshire club here Area meeting pics here My Racing here Edited by - stevefoster on 3 Jan 2006 15:42:
Dickie Normuss
When you say wax do you mean the oil going waxy over time and the gearchange is the same with the clutch in or out so I'm fairly sure the issue isn't there Seek forgiveness, not permission. Roger Doidge
Red Line oil worked a small miracle in my six speed.
Tiny Tim
Another for Redline oil. Used it in my 5 speed on VX 2.0. Gear changes are very good IMHO.
stevefoster
Yes ric. Try an oil swap first then. Hants (north) / Berkshire club here Area meeting pics here My Racing here
