Roger Doidge
What colour springs would a Superlight R normally be fitted with? Mine are green and although this is the third 7 I`ve had it seems to me to be very stiff indeed. Any ideas would be welcome. Roger.
Mad7ner
Mine is fitted with black ones, which look the same as the SLR in the Magnificent 7 book. 😬 Chris............. Superlight R No.
John Howe
Hi Roger, I've got green springs on the front and I understand that they were ex-R500 and rated at 250 lbs.  I fitted them to save the sump on our farm drive but now it has been resurfaced I will be changing them for a softer ride i.e. 200 lbs which are black - hope that helps JH JH Deliveries by Saffron, the yellow 222bhp Sausage delivery machine
Chris__
My SLR springs are green - I was told they were used as SLR race springs by Team Parker Racing. I can't remember the ft/lb figures though. I think they're fine for road and track use myself.
Stuart Faulds
The old 'race' springs were green and are 250lb front and 215lb (linear) rear. Since the shift to Eibach springs a couple of years ago, they are now all the same charcoal colour.
Roger Doidge
Thanks guys. The roads here in rural France are not always the smoothest;the green ones are fine on many of the bigger roads but as much of my 7 driving involves smaller and rougher local roads I think I might investigate a slightly softer set.
