  6. Hi, the two sold items will be sent tomorrow morning. Awaiting a reply regarding the steering wheel and the ACB10s, and rich01483 never did send me another message... get back to me chaps. I've got the lower part of the column that goes into the UJ, and the clamp to go fix it to the upper column, so if anyone wants that... £25?
  7. It's going to be powder coated, so I should think it'll be okay. Email me at cw19_uk at yahoo dot co dot uk. Thanks Doug

  9. Size-wise they're made to fit height adjustable Bilsteins, Standard ones from a K Series R400. Hope that helps - if it doesn't, email me for more pictures.

  13. One of these: http://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/img/p/1931-1929-large.jpg painted or unpainted, it doesn't matter. I'm on a very tight budget with the engine rebuild and tidy up, so any help appreciated!
  14. Dave, that's very kind indeed. I've messaged you.
  15. Rather late update: Ring lands on 3. Oily was predictably correct! Quick question - that budget has got even tighter, can just one piston be replaced, and the engine be put back together? I know there is an ideal solution with forged and trophy 160 pistons, but that's out of the question at the mo unfortunately.
  16. Clutch is a good idea, forgot that for some reason! Had remembered CRB though. It's had a recent water pump... oil pump's a good idea too. Is there a reason for replacing the thermostat if it was working before...? Yep, will be switching back to the normal spec oil!
  17. Hi, I've taken the engine out this evening, and it's off to a friends for rebuild at the weekend. I'm on a strict budget (unfortunately, cos I'd love a set of throttle bodies!) but wondered if there were worthwhile jobs to do on the engine, as it's being fully rebuilt. So far ideas consist of getting the head ported, any others? Apologies for an age-old question, I have searched, honest! Edited by - Chris_ on 20 Oct 2010 21:11:46
  18. I'm the owner of one of those £10k ex-racers Chris, but they really don't come up often. Mine isn't a Roadsport A either, which means it misses out on the dry sump I think.
  19. Any updates for us sir? Hope it's all going well
  20. Might help to say how tall your son is, as I'm rubbish at bike sizes! Incidentally I have an Orbea, and am very very pleased with it!
  21. Just to push it a bit, when I need a part - I want the maximum number viewers to see it - combining for sale and wanted would guarantee that. What are the arguments against? You could even have a title drop down, guaranteeing each post was correctly subtitled WANTED or FOR SALE.
  22. Not read the thread, but have always thought merging for sale and wanted sub-forums would be a good idea, because there are plenty of us who are lazy/evil enough enough to not go on the wanted forums searching for people who may want stuff we have, but do go on the for sale forum as a first port of call on the site. If every wanted item was posted as WANTED: XXXX it would be easy to differentiate
  23. Erm.. anyone got any guesses as to how much that would be, total cost, drive in drive out? Ta guys.
