- 2002 Caterham Academy Championship: 2nd place overall

Colour: Caterham Yellow with black noseband and bonnet stripe.

 

Engine: 1.6 K-Series - full top & bottom-end 'refresh' builds w/ Minister (Aug '03) and McMillan Motorsport (Aug '04)

 

Transmission: 5-spd w/ 3.92 diff - gearbox, differential, and driveshaft rebuilds with Hathaway Motorsport (Sept '04)

 

Safety: Full roll cage, side impact bar, rear wheel intrusion bar, driver floor and fuel tank honeycomb panels,

Lifeline 'Zero2000' integrated fire extinguisher (serviced Aug 2004), FIA head brace and foam protection,

driver (6-point) and passenger (4-point) Caterham racing harnesses.

 

Seat: Optional Hyperion custom-cast and trimmed 'Indy-Seat' driver race seat + removable vinyl-trimmed foam squabs for passenger (tuition, track days etc)

 

Bodywork: original chassis and body, brand new fibreglass nose cone and wings, and new windscreen

 

Suspension: Bilstein dampers with adjustable spring platforms - corner-weighted for 90kg driver, 'optimised' front suspension geometry (camber and castor). Selection of front + RSB-spec adjustable rear anti-roll bars.

 

Brakes: standard Roadsport spec with new Pagid RS15 (front) and RS14 (rear) pads, AP racing brake full-lever balance valve (variable rear brake pressure for dry vs. wet), and Castrol race brake fluid (refreshed after every test and race)

 

Extras: Front under-tray panel, full tonneau + drivers-side half door, side wind-deflectors, Spa race mirrors, '7' grille with radiator protection mesh panel, detachable Momo leather steering wheel, R500 starter button + aircraft ignition switch, 'black-pack' (windscreen frame, exhaust heat-shield, head lamps), clear indicator lenses.

 

Full ground-up nut-and-bolt rebuild in February and September 2004 - maintained to the highest standards by Arrowstar, Hyperion, and Team Tool with meticulous attention to detail – hence the results: ready to win again.
