DaveMorris
Are there any real differences between the 5 port dry sump pumps made by Titan, Pace, Burton etc or is it more a case of same pump case, same internals but different badging ? Dave.
Robster
I don't think it really makes any difference..the design is all basically the same, I havn't heard a bad word about any of them..they are probably all made by Titan anyway! The odd drip of oil is almost innevitable, call it rust proof protection built in! Robin
Ian Macquarie
I'm also interested in the answer to this question. Whilst they may be all basically the same, are there any subtle differences in the port positions that make some easier to use than others in the Caterham? I have seen an old Minister one that had one of the ports angled at 45° upwards. As there is a problem with clearance to the steering colunm that would be useful. DaveMorris
Thanks for all that I'll take it that there's no major difference between the different clones. FWIW I don't get any oil leakage from the D.S.Pump at all, nor from the couplings/fittings into it. (Oil p15535 out everywhere else on the engine though . Helps ensure underside doesn't rot, though probably adds 20+kg to weight of the car ❗) Dave.
