simonbell
I`ve got a water tmp sender for the Caterham guages which I`m going to mount in a piece of ali tubing which joins two pieces of ruber tubing. There is only one terminal on the sender which is the signal to the guage. Does this mean the sender is earthed through whatever it is attached to.......ie normally the engine block. As mine is in a piece of tube and not directly connected to the block does it need a seperate earth connection......I guess it would earth through the coolant in the tube but not sure if that is satisfactory or not.......... simonbell
Just found a post by Myles who has done something similar using the R500 temp sender pipe.......it has a stud on it for connecting an earth wire........ Looks like I`ll need to sort that out as well.............
