New Cat Posted November 14, 2004 Share Posted November 14, 2004 For anyone whos still has a full Lucas distributor & ignition amplifier on their x-flow change it! My ignition amplifier died so I was forced into a change and too tecnophobic to fit 3D. Another blatchatter provided me with a Ford Bosch Valencia distributor with a suitably modified advance curve with the electronics built into the end of it. Awesome blat this afternoon. 😬 The power delivery is sooooo much smoother, seamless and the car feels much much faster too (with the timing set up right) - not only a fix but a highly recommended upgrade and more or less plug and play - just a quick trip to a garage to get the timing set up.
