gavinp
Having tried a new top/tower for my dry sump (many thanks Steve), I am still getting an oil leak. Now it is at the base of the screw on cap (the one you take out to put oil in). I did see on an earlier thread that the latest tower cap, as fitted to an R500, does a much better job of keeping oil in and venting gases out to the catch tank. I have a couple of questions: a. does anyone know the name of the dry sump system fitted to a 1998 SLR? b. will the new R500 bell tower cap (swirl pot cap?) fit to the system I have fitted? c. will it keep the oil in?! d. is it a self install job? e. how much? thanks in advance Superlight R #41 Edited by - gavinp on 4 Jul 2004 10:46:
