phelpsa
Has anyone weighed an A0-48R. Preferably in 185/60 14. Adam
Mike C.
Don't know. But, it would be interesting to know, compared with AO32R, AO21R and CR500. Mad Manx
martinwhitcher
Without doubt the CR500 is the lightest by far, do not know the weights of them (only by lifting by hand!) Martin MW 51 CAT Superlight No.
Ray Pearce
I have a set of 5 185/60 14 sitting in my garage waiting for my car to reappear. I will try to remember to weigh them tonight. Raay
Steveh7
8.89kg working from home today, just weighed my newly delivered 18560 14's on the bathroom scales...your timing asking that question was impecable 😬
phelpsa
Thanks, I think I will go for some 15s with second hand slicks (Clio cup). Would probably be lighter than these and KN Minators. Adam
Ray Pearce
Hmmm - I just weighed a pair of 185/60 14 and got 15kg - i.e. 7.5 kg each. Thats quite a variation from 8.89kg. Ray
stevefoster
How are you guys weighing these? If using bathroom scales at these weights be careful... Hants (North) and Berkshire Area club site here My racing info site here
wag
Be careful indeed. Weighing tyres whilst your lady wife is bathing can only cause trouble.
Steveh7
maybe I'm not quite such a lard arse as I first thought, won't tell the wife though
Ray Pearce
I know that bathroom scales are inaccurate at low weights. I did my weighing by getting my son to stand on the scales and then passing him the two tyres to hold. I figure that the scales were being used within their intended range and using two tyres also helps to reduce any random errors. Ray
