DaveMorris
I HAVE to line a x-flow block due to some recent problems. I have been offered straight "tube" liners but the engine borer has said he would recommend fitment of "T" liners (I presume these have a rim at the top to stop them falling down the bore ?) Comments would be appreciated, thanks, Dave
AMMO
Dave Your engine guy is right in my opinion. I would definately use shouldered liners. Is a new block not a viable proposition? Might be easier. AMMO
Peter T
Diesel liners, much stronger than normal, otherwise you will find that your block will twist, what bore were you running ? Make sure that when they are machined out and when they are pressed in that you have your main caps bolted in and torqued up, measure before and after. If you break into the water jacket then use good quality sealant and pressure check after also. Dave if you need any advice then call me on 07736 777022. Support the 7 Society...... Ehhh? edmandsd
Give Aaron Tucker at HT racing a ring, they've done a lot of work in this area but I don't think they use the top hat design liners for a reason. 01474 872888 Home of HTR700
gramey
Hepolite make Ford engine"lipped" liners. I just bought a set for a Lotus Twin Cam. I believe Hepolite are part of AE Engine Parts or AE Piston Products (both names on the boxes). They should be available for a x-flow.
