Steve Brown
Not very techy I know, but seen a few sevens with "mud flaps" on the cycle wings to prevent splatter. Any preference as to material to use, or template for shape. Also what method of attachment - sykaflex?
Jason Plato
You can now get flexible "carbon fi' " for flaps from Demon Tweeks Lotus 7 Club Speed Champion 2003 South Wales Area Organiser C7 TOP
BruceW
I bought some Halfords cheapo black rubber mudflaps, trimmed them somewhat and then attached with a good wodge of sikaflex. They look fine and have lasted 18/12 without a problem. I live up a very muddy lane and the extra 15cm at the bottom of the cycle wings really helps reduce debris Bruce
Miles Taylor
Anyone got any pics? Sikaflex ? Just a particular type of glue in silicon sealant type tube? Milo
Slomove
I used thick stiff (glass fiber reinforced) rubber flaps from the local auto store (just had to grind off an ugly "Ford" logo). They go almost down to the tarmac with 1/2" clearance. Maybe I should have tried glueing but used pop 2 rivets each with large washers on the rubber side to attach. I don't have a mud problem here but it really helps to reduce the gravel and dirt shower. Picture here (flap is a little hard to see): http://home.earthlink.net/~slomove/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/mirrorlid2.jpg Gert
