Greg Park Posted February 24, 2004 Share Posted February 24, 2004 Starting a new thread on this as I have a little more detail. And no I haven't given up on the Vauxhall HPC! A colleague is still looking for a factory build Superlight R or VX HPC which is road legal which he can use on the track. He has around £18-20k to spend and requires a car which is suitable for road and track use. He's in the Bicester/Oxford area but due to work commitments is finding it had to see cars which are much further a field. Please let me know if: 1) You have a suitable SLR/VX HPC 2) Whether you would be prepared to blat up to the Bicester/ Oxford area so he can see it Thanks for all replies in advance. 😬 Parky P.S. I went to buy it back in July but he had sold it that morning. Its now back with him for sale(and £1k more than it was then so I'm sure he'd budge). It was a lovely car and I was quite disappointed at the time. He is in Haverhill, North Essex. Check his web site here W.Nut. Obviously with the money saved over an SLR your friend could get a DVA conversion to boost the power (although if this is his first Caterham you can't beat an SL for the combination of speed and sweet handling. If you have you might want to came an have another look at my HPC. BRG, carbs, big brakes, cycle wings, FIA roll bar, Side exhaust, low miles. One owner from new, clean, original and un molested.
