Its a half-hour race on Monday on brand new tyres - anything I can do to prevent the tyres breaking up? I'm going to try to get a few miles in on the road on them and perhaps take it easy in qualifying (some chance...) to get a gentle heat cycle through them. Rob Walker Posted April 19, 2003 Share Posted April 19, 2003 On all but a very wet track with standing water the 21s will overheat. The 32 is better in damp and dry conditions. I use 17 psi front and 16 psi rear on the road any more and the 21`s just wear rapidly in the middle. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Pierre Gillet Posted April 21, 2003 Share Posted April 21, 2003 Having completed a two day track session at the Bugatti circuit of Le Mans, the track temperature being 25°C, I can confirm that 22 psi HOT is a good pressure.
