TorAtle
As I have almost finished putting the K engine back together, it's time to ask you nice people for a map (Emerald or GEMS) that will be a good starting point. Spec: 1.8K Omega forged pistons DVA ported standard head 31.5/26mm Piper 835 cams Jenvey throttle bodies Caterham 4-2-1 side exhaust Probably around 190-200bhp. Thanks. tom7
Tor, I hope you will forgive a thread hijack in the anticipation that readers may have a suitable Emerald map for my car. Totally standard K1800 Powerspeed 4-2-1 exhaust The closest maps that came with the ECU were for Elises and the car doesn't like them much. cheers Tom email as per profile
westy
Try W H Smiths I have always found them very good for maps. Always remember you're unique. Just like everyone else.
allegro
Toratle I have a reasonable Emerald setup for 203BHP 1.8 K. You are welcome to have that. I will dig it out later today and I'll pass it on. It had a mid range flat spot when giving it some stick, so I've richened it up a little and now bangs and pops a bit, but no flat spot. Andy Mac C7 GON 😬 Team Langoustine. TorAtle
Allegro, thanks. Is your setup the same as mine? The cam bit would be a big plus to get right I think.
Jason Plato
Tor , which injectors are you running as this will affect the scaling ?? If its the std injectors on standard 3 bar regulator thenm you are welcome to my 186 bhp map and my 210 bhp map ....... I dont think that the 835 camsd are too far from the 1227s I run ?? mail me your address if you want the maps dave
allegro
TorAtle Sorry went off on a bit of a tangent yesterday and completely forgot your map. I will do it now so very soon you will have mail. Mine is a Standard 2001 VHPD with emerald and R500 modified exhaust without cat. I am making about 203-205BHP and lots of noise. DVA head mods this coming winter I hope. TorAtle
Engine up and running and sounds healthy I chose to use Dave J's map since his engine was the closest match, thanks for the sending me the map though Allegro. Further testing will have to wait since the weather is beautiful up here north. The Honda Hornet is just crying for a spin 😬
