What’s the next “go to” tyre for fast road, trackday use? personally I’m looking more at a road legal track focused tyre suitable for 13x6 & 13x8 wheels. Currently using a rather old set of ZZS, and was going to replace with some ZZR. I’m wondering if it’s worthwhile trying something new or grab some ZZR whilst I can, or try something new ????? so…. alternative options, we have the usual suspects: R888s / A048R etc What else is available in the sizes we need? what else have people used and been impressed with? aerobod - near CYYC Posted February 4 Share Posted February 4 Nanking AR-1s are more of a track focused R-compound tyre, a bit more grippy than the R888R. 185/60-13 on front 13x6” wheel, 235/45-13 on rear 13x8” wheel. I’ve been very pleased with the two sets I’ve worn through so far, actually not far off the grip levels of the Hankook slicks that I previously used that are no longer obtainable. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
