gaxor
Can anyone tell me what the electrical module is under the boot floor, is it the inertia cut off for the fuel pump. I ask because twice now my engine has not started, and upon investigation there is no fuel, and there is no sound of the fuel pump priming. If I disconnect and reconnect the connector to said module, fuel once again flows and the engine starts.Could it be a faulty module or connector? John Vine
It looks like a Fuel Pump Module. But that link says it's for a 485?I suspect it's there to reduce the fuel pressure produced by an uprated or high(er)-pressure pump. (I wasn't aware that 360s had such a thing. Is it the latest Ford one perhaps?)JV
simon_h
Looks like they must have commonised the 485 and 620 pump across the board if they have fitted that to a 360. It lets the ecu adjust the pressure rather than just a single available pressure from a reg in a returnless system. It'll run at about 8 bar pressure to the engine if that little gizmo goes wrong
John Vine
Re #5:That makes sense. But what about the OP's fuel-cut problem?JV
