Taffia Fish & Chip Run - From Merseyside / Cheshire / Lancashire area??

From what I have read I really like the sound of the Taffia Fish & Chip run on 14th May but being based in Liverpool it's not practical.

Travelling from this end does seem to be roughly equidistant (Chepstow to Aberdyfi 113 miles / 3 hours & Appleton Thorn to Aberdyfi 100 miles / 2 hrs 30 min) and the roads would seem to offer a similar attraction.

Is this something that has been done before?

If not, would anyone be up for it?

Would the Taffia area be okay with it?

Last Autumn I know that a few were meeting at Lymm and going to Aberdovey via Bala, so yes it has been done. This year my grandson and I are making a weekend of it and going from Chepstow, but otherwise would have been going just for the day or maybe 1 night.
