TANGO7 Posted July 31, 2021 Share Posted July 31, 2021 Did Caterham actually carry out any modifications to Crossflow (and indeed SOHC VX) engines (eg fit hardened valve seats/guides etc) at any time to allow engines supplied by the factory (e.g. as part of a CKD Kit) to run satisfactorily on unleaded fuel, or were the modifications purely confined to a revised distributor with different advance settings? Olgawld Posted July 31, 2021 Share Posted July 31, 2021 As far as I know no mods to the head. Certainly when I took mine off there was no hardened exhaust seats.
