GT seat in non SV cars

Hello All

Calling owners of non SV who may have GT seat fitted.

Could you check the widest dimension of the seat?

I'm trying to understand if it would fit in a 21.

Hi Jack.

They are 410mm at the front under you knees and 400mm at the widest point at the rear.

Jack,

John Bell fitted Tillets to his 21, I think anything which fits an S3 will fit.  Saying that the Tillet is tight in an S3.

It looks like the 21 has a slightly narrower tub than a S3 by approx 20/30mm.

Which mean it looks like the GT seat would not fit.

Would be surprised if they don’t fit as the normal seats are just s3 ones. That said the seat back on the gt looks quite wide so might be a squeeze, the frames underneath I was told are the same though so it might be an illusion.

One thing that I remember of the gt seats is that I felt like I sat higher in them. Caterham always recommended lowered floors and I seem to remember in my 21 I felt the wheel and dash were a bit low so might be an issue.

I have been conversing with Oxted, and they have some reservation as if it would fit or not.

There maybe an issue with the width of the base and the rake.
