Cycle wing leading edge damage

Morning all,

I was wondering if anyone has had similar damage to their leading edge cycle wings as I have in the photos and what the cause was and the remedy?

I suspect it may be because the ZZRs are marginally larger than the tyres that may have been on their previously and possibly the cycle wings are slightly inclined forward. I am thinking of waiting for the friction damage to cease and cutting out the damaged section with a Dremel parallel to the leading edge but above the damage.

If anyone has had a similar experience that they have resolved or has any wisdom they would like to share on the matter I would be most grateful before I end up buying a new set of cycle wings and end up in the same position.
