Xflow breathers

I’ve got the normal PCV venting to a plastic bottle, never any oil in the bottle. The engine runs fine with no problems. 

Is it a better solution to remove the pcv and replace with an angled adapter to an Ali catch tank and vent the rocker cover via a take off cap to the tank?

 

If so, how easy is it to get the PCV out and replace the the angled takeoff?

I think Burtons do a blanking fitting. I use that and vent from the rocker cover through one of those nice shiny ali caps(!) into the dry sump tank. Check with Burtons as to their recommendations if running a wet sump though.

I have done this on both my wet sump cars. Need the angled fitting from Burton. There are two types so need to check. It’s a tight push fit

You should also ensure the fuel pump blank has an oil deflector on the reverse to minimize oil splash to the vent. 

Other than that just a hose and catch tank with vent and good to go.

Thanks guys, what’s  the benefit of this over the vent cap and PCV to bottle other than looking much nicer? 

Am I right in thinking my return valve would have been removed in my PCV
