Peter Mears
I have some 2” Caterham branded Luke 4 point harness in the car from way back when, some 20 years old. As they are well old now and a bit thinner than the new type what would be the recommendation for replacement, Caterham parts show two types at least. Member Jonathan Kay Posted January 15, 2018 Member Share Posted January 15, 2018 I chose Titon which I bought from Prima but would now buy from Meteor Motorsport. They'll make them with the buckle the side you want, and the lap straps pulling either up or down.Only one problem: I needed slightly different top hat spacers to get the right clearance and had to get them made separately. I still have a few...I'd be happy to buy the same again.Jonathan
Steve Sheldon
Spoke with Willans at the Autosport show and they will make to your specification if that helps.
Peter Mears
Thanks guys, think I will be phoning Simon and getting the Titon belts with the lap adjustment at the top end. They've always been stuck down the side of the seats which is a pain after the kids have been in. Also frees the seats up when you want to move it. paul jacobs
How about using the hardware from your original belts and just getting new webbing made up? Arguably the metal is the most expensive part of seat belts, it seems a shame to chuck away perfectly usable and safe parts.
