Lowered headlamps

Have these (club bulk buy) and they're great. However, the top wishbone looks to be able to hit the headlamp stay on full compression. If that happens it puts the headlamps out of alignment a bit.

Anyone else experienced this and, if so, what can I do about it? If I bring the headlamps in closer to the body that looks to sort it but the nosecone then absorbs some of the headlamp's light.

The car is a standard cockpit live axled car with widetrack front suspension if that makes any difference.

Hmmm...

I have the same set up (widetrack, club buy mount). Never had a hint of hitting the stay. I have bottomed the rear suspension a few time and bent one seat mount bolt but never hit the stay with the front suspension. I must of compressed it sometimes. I have done a number of track days so would have expected to explore the limits there too. I can send you a picture of mine if it helps. Maybe you need to stiffen the front suspension?

I have had that problem, a compression and while loaded up on the left hand side for a right gander caused the indicator housing to get cracked by the top wishbone. I thought it would be tight before but not happen but ended up being proved wrong. I tried to optimise the position to get them a bit more inboard. You are right the nose cone does take some of the light. Stiffer spring or damping would maybe be the way to go.
