Brian Deacon
Just removed the water rail from my 1.6 K series due to small seep from around the gasket area. Close inspection with magnifying glass and the welds seem ok. I have noticed on the Caterham spares site that the water rail shown for a 1.6 and 1.8 K series is a different shape and has no sensor provision. Is this a better modified pipe? If so where do the sensors go? Doubt that I will buy one at £114 but just wondered.
Wrightpayne
There is a short pipe with the two threaded bosses in, which gets mounted in the heater hose loop. Thinking was to get the sensors away from the v hot exhaust / block and give more accurate readings.Ian

Brian Deacon
Great, Thanks for that.Old pipe now back on with flange filed flat and washers under the bolts. System bled and all seems to be ok. Will give it a thrash this weekend and see how it copes.
