abbot Posted August 12, 2016 Share Posted August 12, 2016 Hi I need to top my geqrbox qfter hqving the engine out to do a clutch change. The gearbox is a 4 speed on a crossflow so I guess it is a Type 9?So what spec of oil do I need and how muchI should have checked while the engine was out but I fogot so does anyone know if the plug is a hex or do I need a special tool? DJ. Posted August 12, 2016 Share Posted August 12, 2016 I'm not sure what your gearbox is called, but I think the type 9 is the five speed fitted to most De Dion 7s. Older Ford gearboxes I have owned both 4 and 5 speed were originally run on EP80 mineral oil. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
