abbot
All parts arrived and started the assembly process. Can anyone please confirm the correct Torque Setting for teh bolts holding the clutch housing to the flywheel. From what I have seen it looks like about 20Nm.Is that about right?
Nigel Riches
Hi Abbot,Good old Haynes book for a crossflow engine and gearbox gives a figure of 13 to 15 lb/ft, 1.7 to 2.1 Kg f m, or what ever that works out in your currency.Nigel.
elie boone
I never torque them, i just do them firmly or as they say half a turn before they break what i do make sure of is that i bolt the pressure plate on evenly. this may mean that you go round the bolts for 6 or 7 times before the pressure plate touches the flywheel. This to avoid possible damage to the diaphragm spring.
