W2TKY
Hi guys, just been out for a blat and my K Roadsport has picked up a misfire, the car never missed a beat on a recent trip to Somerset, including driving home in really heavy rain. She's just won't rev, seems to clear it's throat midrange then won't rev again high up, and suggestions on what to check? Car was running perfect when I parked her up last time,Cheers Mark
Area Representative Nick Chan Posted July 23, 2016 Area Representative Share Posted July 23, 2016 Throttle Pot Sensor? Mine went during a run after stopping for fuel....If there is another K series owner who is local, see if you can borrow their's to check on your car
Bricol
Water down one or more plug holes?Traction control started to cut in on mine on hard acceleration from standstill - which was strange, 'cos it never had in the previous 15yrs since I built it - and I didn't remember plugging it in anyway ;-)Closer inspection revealed water down a couple of plug holes after removing the coil packs - blew it out, refitted coil packs, and back to normal.Bri
SM25T
If not water in plug wells .... disconnect the connector on the lambda sensor cable and see if that cures it.
gin-fizz-whizz
Agree above "Closer inspection revealed water down a couple of plug holes after removing the coil packs - blew it out, refitted coil packs, and back to normal." especially if EU3 and used recently in heavy rain.
