The class 4 trophy was correctly awarded to Phil Cook, I entered class 2B.

i collected it after the presentation and will make sure it gets to Phil.

It was a great day, Aintree is so much better with a touch of sun.

Hope the one damaged car isn't too serious.

Glad that everyone else got home unscathed, you certainly couldn't have had better weather.  As well as the De Dion ear the exhaust exiting under the car has damaged both floor panels, punching a hole through the drivers side just behind the pedals.  Only found it this morning when I removed the mats.  It looks as though a trip to Arch may be called for.

Hi Geoff,

Sorry about your off.  If the chassis is ok, and a look underneath will tell you whether the exhauast has dented any tubes, then the floors are quite easily removed and replaced and I'm sure there are a number of local members who can help you out with replacing those, as well as the dedion ear.  It'll be worth checking the dedion tube for cracks as well if you haven't already.  I hope to see you out again soon.
