Doug phillips
Right having driven around (for some time) with a broken drivers seat, I have decided to get it fixed and also at the same time referb the leather with a kit I have ordered. So yesterday I removed the drivers seat, only to find that it was worse that I thought (sorry but for some reason all the pictures are at the wrong angle)Looking down. And a bit of a hole, in the back.So first thing this morning I gave Oxted a ring and have dropped them off, they will replace the plastic and all of the foam. More info when I get hem back
Doug phillips
That was quick, just had a call from Oxted trimming saying that my seat has been repaired. Off to collect it, in the morning.

Member Jonathan Kay Posted June 6, 2015 Member Share Posted June 6, 2015 Looks great, and I'd guess that lots of us will need something similar at some point.Jonathan
Doug phillips
Thanks JK, I think that they look good. One thing I have not done is to link to the kit I used, http://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/Leather_Colourant_Kit.php
sjmmarsh
Doug - that's the same kit I used. I forgot to say that the whole process of stripping the old stuff off and res praying is really easy and quite quick - you can do it in a few one hour sessions (to allow drying time between coats)The biggest problem was unblocking the spray nozzle which happened once or twice on each seat when spraying the dye. It is also much easier if you have a compressor as the spray cans freeze up.Steve
Doug phillips
I was very impressed with the kit as well, I now have a proper airbrush and compressor and would those if I had to do it again.
