MADMALC
We require the torque settings for the blanking plate on the inside of the bell housing dry sump as fitted to the Duratec. There are approx 21 small '4mm bolts' round the outer edge and approx 6 even smaller ' 3mm bolts' round the hydraulic clutch release bearing. Any info would be helpful. Member Jonathan Kay Posted August 2, 2014 Member Share Posted August 2, 2014 I don't know those. What do they tighten into? If you don't get a specific answer there are standard settings for any given bolt size, bolt material and fastener type, such as this. Myles
Yikes. My only reference point is from small bolts of around that size on bicycles - the torque suggestions are around the 6-8Nm range for steering clamp bolts etc. (which are around the 4mm mark into Ali) and generally require a low-range torque wrench (I bought one specifically for such jobs). MADMALC
Thanks for the help, we have gone for 7nm. Obviously A10ROX will be dealt with appropriately, locally.
