First caterham 160hp +

I'm looking for my first caterham, and although I've got a wish list, I'll happily consider something great that ticks most of the boxes.

 

I'm looking for something yr2000 or younger and have a budget up to 18k but preferably closer to 15

 

I want a road registered car to use over the summer with a few track days

Roadsport, supersport, superlight

Want at least 160hp

Not an ex academy

Std roll bar not full cage

Windscreen

LSD

Big brakes

5 or 6 speed

Would like a heater

Leather or tillets

Tunnel cover

 

I'm in kent but willing to travel within reason for the right car.

15k should get you 160bhp+ OR less than 10 years old, but probably not both, so you are probably looking towards the upper end of your budget, where you will find a few K-Series VVC or R300 spec cars coming on sale. It is worth looking at ones a bit more and seeing if the seller will move on price (but not CC).

 

You are more likely to find cars at the end of the season. Right now, cars tend to sell well unless they are overpriced or poor condition.

Had a few replies, and I'm going to see an upgraded supersport which looks like it ticks all my boxes. Also going to my local meet on Thursday to try and get some tips on what to look for during the viewing and test drive.

That's a very tidy car......... But ouch 19k. These guys do know how to present their cars, I wonder how long their detailing and pre sale prep takes?

Mine went in to them on a Saturday (recently) and deposit taken within a week!
