SteveG
Having sadly cracked my (wet) sump on a pointy bit of Wales I am trying to source a replacement for my R400D. I wondered if anyone out there, perhaps someone who has upgraded to a dry sump, has one lying around that they are willing to sell? Thanks Steve
7 wonders of the world
There's one on fleabay at the moment........ Is yours totally trashed or weldable? If the former make sure you examine the oil pump and block mounting closely the impact can damage one or both. If you can it worth going DS and using the Raceline version this offers about 35mm extra ground clearance the Pace and Cosworth/Titan versions do not offer any more ground clearance the the wet version. Either way consider a sump guard too to spread the load of future impacts rather than punching another hole .....and finally look at your ride height and spring rates Those Welsh yumps have claimed many a sump - mine included........ in my experience the OE wet sump is not a particularly good set up and compromises the oil delivery resulting in starvation to the big ends.
