Newbie Q4 - LED lights

Last question, I promise (for now, anyway!)

 

There are quite a few posts on here about changing to LED lights and changing to clear lenses, but is there a definitive thread that lists out all the lighting options, how to fit them and where to get them?

No definitive thread, as far as I am aware.

 

However, in my view, although the clear rear lenses look great, they reduce the effectiveness of brake lights and indicators. Some owners have gone back to the original red & amber lenses for that reason. No such problem at the front, where clear indicator lenses seem to work well.

 

As for headlights, fit high output bulbs. If you can stomach it, fit 7" lights. 7" with high output bulbs actually do work well at night.

Thanks, TBH I don't like the clear rear lights very much and already have 7" headlamps and clear indicator lenses on the front, but thinking of changing the running lights to LED. Are there any specific high output lamps that are good?

I bought LED sidelight bulbs off ebay from a firm named something like szautoparts. They're much whiter and brighter than standard tungsten. Being LED they only work one way round ...
