K series supersport clearout

Following the rebuild of my 94 S3 seven, I now have the following parts available from what was my 1.4K Supersport

 

1. 1.4 Plastic Plenum with Throttle Body and associated sensors. Pics here and here - £50

2. Water rail - here - £25

3. K series wiring loom metal shoe (protects wiring loom as it runs at the front of the engine at sump level) - here - £5

4. K series alternator in working order,here- £50

5. Bell housing for type 9 gearbox, here and here (SOLD)

- £90

6. Starter motor (pre-engaged), here - £50

7. Multi function relay unit (MFU) - here - £20

8. K Series Engine - covered 47k miles - in good working order, have video taken immediately prior to it being removed from the vehicle (for upgrade to Duratec) - 130bhp as standard, oil changed regularly. here and here - £400 [sOLD]

9. Supersport ECU for K series - EU2 - here - £45

10. Roll bar - sold

11. Used K series air filter - here and here - £10

12. Pedal box cover, here - £10

13. One into Four exhaust - here - £10 (SOLD)

14. Exhaust primaries for K series supersport - here - £75 (SOLD)

15 Coil - here in working order - £10

16 Anti Roll bar - here - £10 [sOLD]

I think, looking at the photo and judging by the diameter, it is a 'red' bar? Prehaps Mark would confirm?

Hi Malcolm. It looks like you are right! I guess that's the problem with wobbly eyesight during night time baby feeds and trying to squint at photos on an iPhone. I am out of this one in that case.

Regarding the engine.

 

Are there any fundamental differences between this and the 1600? Is it just stroke, and the block and head are identical, or is there more to it??

Hi,

 

I think this linkis helpful in the diffs between the engines. The supersport has uprated cams and the remapped ECU to go with it, so produced a 0-60 of 5.9 seconds and c130bhp.
