What an excellent thread I have been debating the merits of a possible swap to A modern ford lump BUT I have seen the light and deciding to keep my trusty, non leaking (yes, really) flow. Not only does it suit the character of my car but values are certainly on the up with original flow engined cars it seems. And that noise at full chat...glorious

 

Eight years on and my annual tinkering needs to be replaced with a proper check up/top end overhaul to get the best out of my car. It's a bit sick and needs a professional set of hands. This thread has helped massively *thumbup*

 

I'll report back here once I have had things done (and chosen somewhere to do it).

i started thread and would recommend that u take Rogers advice and install 3D ignition

 

i have put in an amethyst unit and the difference is more than noticeable
