AndrewGP
Specialized Air Tool Mini Bike Pump - Brand New I bought this in error last week, it is for Presta valves only not the Schrader valves I have on my bike! It is brand new, never used, but because I threw the packaging away my bike shop won't accept it back. Complete with bottle boss mounting bracket as pictured. From the Specialized website: Small size, big performance in an aluminum design with reliable locking head. Even more compact design for 2011; fits inside jersey pocket Painted black and white barrel to match bike graphics All-aluminum shaft, handle, and chamber for durable performance All-steel locking lever for leak-proof performance; Presta valve only New bottle boss mounted bracket included £14.50 posted in the UK. http://i.ebayimg.com/t/Specialized-Air-Tool-Mini-Bike-Pump-New-/00/s/MTIwMFgxNjAw/z/OJAAAOxyBC1R~U~4/%24(KGrHqV,!lMFHlsyWzJ3BR+U+33,t!~~60_12.JPG
Grebby
Have you tried unscrewing the silver ring on the pump? On a similar pump that I have you can reverse some pieces inside where it fits to the valve and change which valve type it's for. To do it I just unscrewed the equivalent of teh silver ring on yours and that gave access. Cheers Grebby
Grebby
I found this on another forum about the Air Tool "Unscrew the end cap. Take the rubber bit out. Give the pump a tap until the plastic bit comes out. Turn the plastic bit around and put it back in. Turn the rubber bit around and put it back in. Screw on end cap." Edit. Ignore me, I've just read the presta valve only bit Edited by - Grebby on 3 Aug 2013 22:30:
myothercarsa2cv
Or... Get one of these. Worth it just to keep the pump
AndrewGP
Hi Grebby, yes I thought the same after a quick google 😬 but sadly it doesn't do it ☹️ MOCA2CV, I've already bought the specialized schrader version of the pump...It looks very similar but is slightly bigger and can go to a higher pressure, so makes sense to keep it now. myothercarsa2cv
Can the Schrader version do both? Otherwise, one day, you'll discover the joys of Presta and you'll need a Presta pump
