Area Representative skeetsy Posted July 21, 2013 Area Representative Share Posted July 21, 2013 Ok so this is a bit of a long shot, but I'm after the exit pipe from a standard exhaust silencer, so if anyone has an exhaust that has been damaged (with the exit pipe still serviceable) then I'd be very grateful for it. My plan is to modify an R1 carbon wrapped can to suit my 7, but the first thing I need is an appropriate exit pipe and hanger bracket, hence this post Edited to add, it's the side exit exhaust that I'm after. Stationary M25 Traveller
Any stainless exhaust manufacturer would, I'm sure, cut you a bit of pipe to length and weld a bead on the end and a mounting bracket ?
Area Representative skeetsy Posted July 22, 2013 Author Area Representative Share Posted July 22, 2013 That's my back-up option, but if possible I'd like to use a standard tail pipe as it will just look "right" if you know what I mean.... Incidentally my car is a K Series so any passenger side exhaust will do All the best Richard
Area Representative skeetsy Posted July 23, 2013 Author Area Representative Share Posted July 23, 2013 Updated to add if anyone has an old silencer with the side exit tail pipe lying around that isn't damaged and they want rid, then I would be interested for the right price.... Richard K
Richard, I have what started life as the 'standard' rear exit exhaust for a x/flow. This was adapted to have a side exit tail pipe. I never got round to fitting it and now have a differnt silener to fit on my car. Yours for free to cut about but I am in Essex But I will be going to the Silverstone Classic Saturday in the Tin Top. Let me know if this is of any use Richard

Area Representative skeetsy Posted September 11, 2013 Author Area Representative Share Posted September 11, 2013 Hi Richard , Many thanks for the exhaust I couldn't resist offering it up to my long branch manifold and having a listen to it before I cut it up 😬 and oh my word! when you fit a 4" crossflow silencer to a 1.8K Series noisy doesn't even begin to cover it I'll have to take it for a quick spin when it stops raining just to get the full effect All the best Richard
Richard K
I got it years ago from someone, but I never had it fitted on my car. I guess all the packing went along time ago. Glad you could make use of it Richard
